PLA - Natural - 3D Printer Filament
PLA is the official build material for RepRap Mendel and is compatible with Darwin, MakerBot, RapMan, and other compatible 3D printers. PLA is a bioplastic, meaning it is made from renewable natural resources. It is also biodegradable in commercial compost facility.
This is Natureworks PLA4043D extruded into both 1.75mm or 3mm filament. This is a wonderful build material. It has minimal warp when cooling. The pigments used in our color PLA are all bio-friendly and designed for use with PLA.
Filament Diameter:
Filament diameter measures 2.9mm +/- 0.1mm for 3mm filaments.
Filament diameter measures 1.70mm - 1.85mm for 1.75mm filaments.
Filament Packaging:
Filament packaging available in 1lb coils (no spool) and 5lb coils (no spool), 1Kg (2.2lb) spools and 5lb spools. All filaments come in a sealed plastic bag with desiccants.
